Betfair is an online gambling company that has been around for many years. They offer every form of gambling including poker, casino, horse betting, sports betting and more. Their poker room boasts decent traffic and plenty of weak competition. This post will explain the best Betfair bonuses available in 2o10.

Betfair Poker

Betfair Poker offers players with a 100% match bonus up to $1,500. This is 2-3 times higher than the standard bonus in this industry. They have excellent support, software, deposit options and are well known for their fast withdrawals.

Betfair Sports Book

The sports book is running a free money promotion right now. Just for signing up you will receive £25 free to make bets with. I used up my £25 betting on football.

Betfair Casino

Betfair’s casino has one of the best VIP programs in the industry. Their software is also very high tech. You will receive a 100% match on your initial deposit, for a max of £250. The clearance requirements are quite low so you won’t have any trouble with that.

If you haven’t heard of UB Poker then you must be new to the world of online poker. Right now UB.com Poker is offering the best deposit bonus around. When you sign up for UB Poker using our UB Poker referral code BONUSHP you will receive an amazing 111% on up to $1,100 first time UB.com Poker bonus. For more info on this bonus check out our UB Poker review website. This money is deposited directly to your UB Poker account and can be used however you would like. If you want to use it to build your poker bankroll a little then that is fine. You can also withdraw it and get yourself something nice! Here are some other promotions currently available at U B Poker.

Visit UB Poker

UB Poker Bonus

Receiving a deposit bonus while you are playing poker is very important. Poker can be rough and the free money that UB Poker is willing to give you is enough to make it much less painful. You have to take into consideration that you need padding in your bankroll. A hand that is an 80% favorite to win will still lose 20% of the time. If you see a bad short term with the hand and see the 20% come in a few times in a row then you could be close to losing everything you have worked for. Playing with a deposit bonus allows for padding of your bankroll so that you never have to fear losing all of your money as long as you follow good bankroll management and play for deposit bonuses.

Visit UB Poker

UB.com Poker Promotions

The poker bonus isn’t the only great thing coming from UB Poker. Right now there are tons of other great promotions going on as well. Any time you are playing poker at Ultimate Bet you will receive frequent player points. These points can then be used in the UB store, used as entry into special FPP only tournaments, and you can even convert it straight to cash.

If you have been looking to play some poker with a different element of surprise to it then you should check out the UB 7-2 tables. Each player at the table buys in like normal and also puts up a side pot ante. Any time a player wins a hand using the hole cards 7-2 they not only win the hand, but they take down the side pot as well. Playing this type of game your opponents will never know if you have a good hand or if you are trying to bluff with 7-2 to take it down.

If you make your way on to the UB leader boards you can win your portion of the grand prize pool of over $1,000,000! This is just an added bonus for all of the tournament sharks out there.

There are special steps tournaments where you can try your luck to build up step by step to the top tournaments. By doing this you could win your portion of the huge UB payout!

The raise program at UB.com Poker is a special $50,000 frequent player points entry only tournament. This means that players of any level can enter for their chance to win a portion of the huge $50,000 prize.

Sign up for UB Poker today and start reaping the benefits!

2-7 Triple Draw poker is becoming a very popular poker game in 2010. You can find this game at several online poker rooms but only Pokerstars offers decent traffic. There are two ways you can play 2-7 Triple Draw at Pokerstars. One is by playing at the standard ring tables, sitngos and tournaments. The traffic at these tables has grown over 200% in the last year alone. The other way to play 2-7 Triple Draw is to play 8-Game Mix, a mixed poker game like HORSE poker.

I consider 27 Triple Draw to be the weak spot in many 8-Game Mix player’s armor. They simply do not know how to play this game properly. Their 2-7 Triple Draw strategy is terrible and you can exploit it if you put some effort and time into mastering Triple Draw poker.

The first major lesson is hand selection in 2-7 Triple Draw. I’m actually getting a little ahead of myself, some of you may not know the 2-7 Triple Draw rules.

2-7 Triple Draw is a mix between 5 card draw and badugi. You want the lowest hand and straight and flushes count as high. Aces are also always high so never keep those. There are three drawing periods in this game.

I usually advise people to only play hands with 3-5 cards that are 8 or less. The typical “winning hand” in 2-7 Triple Draw ranges from 7-10 high so there is a lot of room for bluffing.

If you know anything about online poker, you are sure to have heard of UB Poker or Absolute Poker. Our UB Poker review details how you can receive a $1,111 bonus, 5% interest and more. Well now, they are run together and share a player base, their network is now known as CEREUS. Anytime you are playing with a network, you can expect great traffic and tons of tournaments registering all the time. Since both Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker were well known and respected internet Poker rooms before they became a network, they have double the awesome player base they each had when they stood alone. You will find all of your favorite poker games available at Cereus like; Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Stud,Stud Hi-Lo and Razz, as well as HORSE(a mixed game including Holdem, Omaha, Razz, Stud Hi-Lo & Stud Eights or better).

Entering the UB Poker referral code BONUSHP in 2010 will give you the best bonus possible. UB Poker is the first online poker room to offer a full selection of casino games built into the poker client. This includes over 40 table games, slot machines and video poker games. Our UB Poker casino review provides more info. If you are looking for a huge bonus please visit our UB Poker bonus guide.

You will find pretty high tournament traffic at UB Poker with most of the tournaments ranging from a single dollar up into the thousands. There are also many free rolls registering all the time as that is something that Absolute Poker was known for. No matter what your bank roll is looking like, you are sure to find a tournament in your price range registering around the clock. However, with both the tournaments and the ring game tables, the majority of there traffic is at No Limit Texas Holdem tables as this is the most popular Poker game right now.

As great as the new software that UB has introduced is, their customer support options are definitely lacking. The first thing you can do when you have a question or concern about the Cereus network is to search their extensive FAQ pages that are filled with all of the most frequently asked questions. If you are unable to answer your question or solve your problem there, there is only one other option for you. You can contact Cereus’ customer support team via email. The response time is usually around 24 hours, although sometimes it may take longer or shorter depending on how busy they are. This is not instant help, but it is the closest thing that the Cereus network currently offers to instant customer support

From the beginning, PokerStars became one of the hottest internet Poker rooms around with tons of games running around the clock. In 2003, a PokerStars player by the name of Chris Moneymaker played a $39 satellite tournament, which he won and continued winning all the way to a seat in the WSOP. Chris didn’t disappoint Poker amateurs worldwide, in fact he came quite the hero when he walked away the winner of more than $1,000,000 as well as a WSOP main event golden bracelet. When people heard the story, they were amazed, here was a regular online Poker player who took $39 and turned it into over a million! This started the Moneymaker craze where housewives, college students and retirees started opening online Poker accounts and trying to become the next Moneymaker.

2-7 Triple Draw Poker is a newer Poker game that has become increasingly popular in the online Poker circuit, especially at PokerStars in 2010. Although the game is played very similarly to other Draw Poker games as well as other low ball Poker games, however there are a few major differences. One thing is that Aces are not good, regular good Poker hands are bad and count against you, like, straights, flushes, pairs etc. Another big difference is that when playing 2-7 Triple Draw, you do not get the added benefit of seeing some of the other player’s cards, so you need to pay more attention to the players and the moves they are making. Good 2-7 Triple Draw strategy is similar to other Draw Poker strategies,There are a few important things to keep in mind when playing 2-7 Triple Draw Poker and we will help you to understand them so that you have a better shot when you sit down at the table.

The best possible hand in 2-7 triple draw lowball is 23457. Getting this hand is roughly twice as hard as getting dealt a pair of aces in Hold’em. The average winning hand in 27 triple draw is 8 or 9 high based on my experience. You should only play hands with 3-4 cards under 8 is most situations.

The up cards on the board paint a picture for the hand and provide a framework for how it could unfold. Not being aware of these cards puts you at a clear disadvantage. One of the pitfalls for new seven card stud players is playing in a cave and not realizing that paying attention to what their opponents may have is as important as paying attention to their own hand. With this in mind, there are two key things to watch for in seven card stud that will help you get off to a good start in the game:

An opponent pairs their door card: This is a critical time in a hand of seven card stud and you must understand the possibilities of what could be happening. Realize that if this is a capable player, they most likely are in the hand because they had something halfway decent to start with. If they now have paired their door card you have to be astute to the possibilities. If they have a wired pair, then it is very likely they now have two pair. Or to make matters worse, if there pair was split, then now you are staring down three of a kind. Next time an opponent pairs their door card think long and hard about the situation. Make sure you can beat their hand or have a solid chance of beating it in the future to continue.

An opponents door card is an ace: Check out our article on playing the ace in seven card stud for information on how to play when you are the lucky one holding the ace, for now, we need to cover how you can best manage the situation when your opponent holds the ace. Studying your opponents is the single best thing you can do to help manage this situation. Loose and overly aggressive players will almost always try to push you around when they have an ace. Your strategy then will need to be to play right back at them. Sometimes a raise or an opening bet is all that is needed to deflate someone who is overconfidently betting their ace. Strong players introduce a whole new problem in that they are hard to read and they usually play strong hands. Make sure when a strong player is showing an ace that you have the potential to beat him, if there is any question or the pot odds are off, make the right decision and save the battle for another time.

Annette Obrestad has become one of the most feared women poker players in the world since she won the 2007 WSOPE Main Event. Her journey to poker stardom began at just 15-years old when she began playing internet poker. She joined Ultimate Bet and played at the play-money tables as well as freeroll tournaments. Her big breakthrough online was when she won one of the freeroll tournaments and was rewarded a $9 tournament entry, however she chose to cash it in for the money instead. It is rumored that she is thinking about creating a network of poker training sites.

With the $9 she began playing $1 sit-and-goes and was a regular winner, growing the $9 into hundreds and eventually thousands of dollars by playing low stake sit and goes and up to $6 multi-table tournaments. This bankroll management paid off for Annette but as her bankroll ballooned she had to move up in stakes. She created accounts at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker where the biggest weekly poker tournaments are held, however she wasn’t so successful. The MTT players at both these sites were far more experienced and better players than the low-mid stake players she was used to at Ultimate Bet, forcing her to change her playing style. She adopted a much more aggressive style which proved to be a success because she found herself winning the big tournaments at both sites, which brought a lot of exposure and attention to her. She also won the $100 rebuy tournaments at PokerStars various times cementing her place as a feared MTT player.

With so much success online she was able to travel to live tournaments in Europe, and in 2007 the first World Series of Poker Europe was being held in London for the first time. Annette decided to travel to London and entered the £10,000 buy-in WSOPE Main Event. She played exactly as she did online – lots of aggression and with perfect reads. She busted popular female players Annie Duke and Jennifer Harman, two players considered as the best female players in the world, but the spotlight was on Annette for this tournament. Eventually on September 17th, 2007, the tournament was down to Annette and John Tabatabi and Annette finished victorious. The victory came just two days before her 19th birthday and she won £1 million for the achievement.

Six weeks late Annette travelled to Dublin, Ireland, for EPT Dublin. Yet again she made the final table, this time losing heads-up to Reuben Peters. She won $429,181 for her runner-up finish and had the poker community amazed at how she was dominating tournaments both online and live.

With so much success she earned sponsorship from Betfair Poker and was invited to the invitation-only television shows Premier League Poker III, and European Open IV. She made impressive showings at both shows and managed 4th in the European Open IV final for $30,000.

In 2009 she continued to post impressive results online and live. Her biggest result of 2009 has been 13th in the EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo where she earned $101,244. She continues to play internet poker as well as travel the live
